Access covers and grates are cast from grey cast iron and ductile (SG) iron for their many outstanding properties:

• highly resistant to corrosion
• strong under compressive loads
• abrasion resistant
• long service life
• design flexibility
• cost effectiveness

EJ products have been designed and refined over the last 25 years to meet the needs of engineering professionals, in-field personnel, local authorities and the relevant Standards such as AS3996 or EN124.

New products are developed in consultation with the product users. Our in-house CAD team prepare designs to be submitted for approval of design criteria, physical
sizes, lettering, weights and load ratings.

Modern efficient casting designs are also provided from our partners, East Jordan Iron Works (USA) and Norinco (France). These products are lighter and stronger than many designs of the past and have features which provide improved security and are easier to access and service.
