TACS ~ Total Access Cover System
This new system of covers,
bolt-on risers and rings was developed to meet the needs of most major Australian Water
Authorities. These ductile iron covers are watertight and the machined surfaces have been
coated on Havetec HS-1 Surface Treatment
System.
The Havetec HS-1 prevents the
machined surfaces from rusting and seals the cover to be watertight; without the need for
messy grease or breakable rubber rings/gaskets.
The bolt-on risers are
specific to the Havestock TACS units. They allow the cover to be raised up to meet future
resurfaced road levels. They make the job of 'jacking up' covers time and cost efficient;
especially when compared to the older system (see photos).
